July 23 to August 22, 2020 – The Time of Leo

Whew! Just as the intensity of the past few days was getting over the top, the Sun moved into Leo, his favorite place.

When the Sun is in Leo, it’s time to stop taking yourself so damned seriously, chill out and have fun. The Leo Sun loves to play dress up, whether using doll clothes, dog clothes or haute couture. And he just loves to play. Leo highlights children, the inner child, creativity, fun, and self-expression.

So, have you taken out your paint brushes and toys to play lately?

The Sun is the 800 lb. guerrilla of the solar system. All of the other planets revolve around him to pay homage to his uniqueness and charm. How are you expressing your own uniqueness and charm?

During the week leading up to the 27th, chatty Gemini Venus flirts with Neptune who dares her to put on rose colored glasses. The banter is fun but like a good sales pitch you just hear what you want to believe and ignore the rest. Artists and spiritual types use the exchange as an opening to inspiration’s door.

The good news is by moving into Leo, the Sun broke the pattern of oppositions to the Capricorn heavies who have been throwing their weight around for the past couple years. They didn’t go away and they are still throwing their weight around. But for the most part in the next 30 days you can put them and their antics in the back burner.

Still, at the time of the full moon of August 3rd, Mercury stands right across Saturn who orders him to pay attention. New and full moons are triggers and Mercury is the planet of communication. Be on the lookout for an important piece of news or an announcement from an authority.
