Happy April Fool’s Day. The month opens as Mercury pairs up with Neptune to fertilize your creativity. Dive deep into the bottomless pool of your dreams and imagination for inspiration. Just be wary about signing contracts under this influence—not all that glitters is gold.
Nonetheless, the first two weeks of this month are very challenging. Delays and City Hall seemed designed to thwart you, but this is not the time to buck authority. Saturn is City Hall and he is in charge. Egged on by Pluto and goaded by Mars, he brooks little dissent.
Stay in his good graces by challenging yourself to accomplish your personal best. Stay focused, keep your eye on the ball and play the long game—that’s how you navigate this month’s demanding energies.
The Aries new moon on the 5th kickstarts your get-up-and-go. The Sun is mid-way through its trek through this leap-before-you-look sign and a rush of adrenaline courses through your veins. Before gunning the gas, know that cops are watching. Be mindful of the speed limit.
Tempers are short and frustration comes to a head when the hotheaded Aries Sun locks horns with heavy-weights Saturn and Pluto. Dates to watch are the 10th when Sun squares Saturn, the 13th when he squares Pluto, and again at the full moon on the 19th: you are fed up with taking ‘no’ for an answer. And if you’re the authority it’s time to put your foot down. No matter where you stand in the pecking order patience and discipline will serve you well. So will hard work and vigorous exercise. If you are training for a sport this is an excellent month to hone your skills.
Tensions ease on the 20th when the Sun moves into laid-back Taurus. Instead we turn our attention to the holidays of renewal, Easter and Passover: both occur this weekend. Mother Earth goes out of her way to dazzle the senses as she awakens at this time of year. Take time to smell the roses. Literally.
