April 20 to May 20, 2020 – The Time of Taurus

In the waning hours of April 19th, the Sun leaves the sign of the Ram to enter the Bull’s pen. Taurus tames Aries’ fire and pulls us down to earth.

The placid bull likes the security of terra-firma under his feet. He is delighted by the smells and sensory delights of Earth’s reawakening. Follow his lead and take a moment to literally smell the roses.

But the new moon on the 22nd pulls in Uranus. Stay open to surprise. A beckoning new technology may not be quite ready for prime time.

If you are looking to get financing, try to complete your arrangements before the 25th when the planet of debt and credit reverses direction.

In addition to Pluto, Saturn goes retrograde on the 11th followed by Jupiter on the 14th. These far flung planets retrograde every year for several months at a time as part of a natural ebb and flow.

But the Astrological highlight of the month is Venus’s retrograde turn in Gemini on the 13th. So, let’s talk about Venus and Gemini and what they mean for you.

Venus works through attraction. That is why it is associated with relationship (attracting others into your life as friends, romantic and life partners, even business partners and anyone you work with on a one-to-one basis).

Venus, also called the lesser benefic by traditional astrologers, attracts abundance. In our society that is usually represented as money or cash flow. Venus also describes the female archetype. In this case, the young woman (as opposed to the Moon who describes the mother). And lastly, Venus is associated with the arts, design and style, and what we find pleasing to the senses.
